冬天喝熱飲有助於讓身體保暖，可是您知道嗎？市售的外帶杯熱飲上的塑膠杯蓋，如果遇熱，會產生苯乙烯單體的有毒物質，專家警告，常常把化學物質喝下肚，恐怕會增加罹癌風險。
燒滾滾的熱水灌進紙杯裡，套上塑膠杯蓋，這一杯，讓寒冷的冬天變得暖呼呼，但您知道嗎？熱飲暖了身體，但卻因為熱氣直薰塑膠杯蓋，釋出的苯乙烯單體，隨著飲料喝下肚，您的健康正在一點一滴減損。
市售的塑膠杯蓋，大多是回收標章編號六號的聚苯乙烯材質，也就是俗稱的保麗龍，耐熱程度最好是在70度以下，只是平常消費者大多沒有警覺，透過塑膠杯蓋的小孔喝熱飲，等於增加罹癌風險。
聽到會致癌，民眾心驚驚，專家說用外帶紙杯喝熱飲，最好還是把杯蓋打開來喝，不然就是飲料只裝七分滿，遠離聚苯乙烯單體有毒化學物質，才能保持身體健康。
